CELEBRATIONS IN AMERICA, [Bv Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] Ottawa, December 24. Cardinal Gibbon, Mr Carnegie, and other prominent Americans, sent a message to tlie Prime Minister, Mr Borden, asking his support of the celebrations of the hundred years’ peace between America and Great Britain. Mr Borden replied that lie was profoundly thankful for the century of peace. Such a triumph of goodwill outdid any victory possible in war. Each nation owed to the other the solemn .duty of preserving tlie traditions Of friendship and peace during the centuries to come.
