Henry Armstrong, who surrendered to the police after shooting Albert Edward Wilson, allegedly in self-de-fence, at Mascot last week-, has been committed for trial on n charge ol murder.
The evidence showed that Wilson was a married man, aged .*)7 years, and a native of Wellington, New Zealand.
Mrs Armstrong gave evidence that Wilson had written letters to her threatening to shoot her and her husband unless she did what, he asked. She did not know why. Other evidence showed that Wilson told several people he intended to go to Armstrong's 1 house on the night ol the tragedy and shoot Armstrong. The latter was informed, and he bought a revolver for his protection. When he opened the door Wilson pointed a revolver at Armstrong, who fired and then chased Wilson, tiring three more shots. Wilson did not fire his revolver, which was not loaded.
