Taranalu Wool, Skin, Hide and Tallow Sales. MR NEWTON KING'S REPORT. On Tuesday, December 16th, 1 held my usual sale of above produce, catalogue comprising 1-10 bales and 168 sacks wool, 3491 sheepskins, l 1207 lides, 27 casks, 57 tips, 1 sack and 1 hum tallow, 3323 'calfskins, besides usual assortment of hair, tails,etc. Consequent on there 'being no sale last month, there was double tke"quuncity of produce offering. There was a full attendance of buyers; competition, hroughout the sale being very keen ud spirited for jail lines. .. - i. WOCTl;.—Owing :to the unsettled .tate of the weather, interfeiing with .hearing, I uaa.fi not the full catalogue anticipated. ■ In sympathy with the lecline at the recent London sales, and vhich was reflected at all the opening sales throughout the Dominion, prices, a comparison with my December sale f last year showed a drop of one peniy to one penny farthing; the comparison, however, in other centres was v.&n higher, up to twopence being re.irded. Yearlings were 'firm at late ites. Tlie fall in prices is partly acounted for on account of the labor roubles extending to Sydney, where aany hides are forwarded for transhipnent to America.
