PUBLIC NOTICES. NEW ZEALAND RAILWAYS. 1 XMAS AND NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS GALA DAY AT NEW PLYMOUTH, 26th DECEMBER. RACES AT NEW PLYMOUTH, ■ 26th and 27th DECEMBER. ON 26th December, special train will leave Hawera. 6.50 a.m., Stratford 8.15 a.m., arriving New Plymouth 10.5 a.m., and will return leaving New Plymouth 5.55 p.m. for Waitara and Hawera. The usual 11.15 a.m. train Hawera to New Plymouth will not run. The usual 4.20 p.m. train will be delayed to leave New Plymouth at 6.25 p.m. for Pohokura and Hawera. A passenger train will leave Pohokura 6 a.m., Te Wera 6.40 a.m., arriving Stratford 8.25 a.m. Return train leaves Stratford 9.30 a.m., arriving Te Wera 10.55 a.m. The usual 7.10 p.m. train Stratford to Pohokura will be delayed to leave Stratford 8.58 p.m., arriving Pohokura 11.15 p.m. The, 6.50 a.m. and 7.20 a.m. trains from Hawera and the 5.55 p.m. and 6.25 p.m. trains from New Plymouth will stop for passengers at Autere Street platform near Fitzroy. On 26th and 27th December, the usual 4.5 p.m. train Hawera to New Plymouth will hot run. A special passenger train will leave Hawera at 4.5 p.m., Stratford 5.40 arriving New Plymouth 7.28 p.m. On 27th December, the usual 4.20 p.m. train will be delayed to leave New Plymouth at 6.25 p.m. for Hawera. The usual 7.0 p.m. train will be delayed to leave Stratford 8.58 p.m., arriving Pohokura 11.15 p.m. AXEMEN'S CARNIVAL AT ELTHAM 26th and 27th DECEMBER. On 26th December special passenger train will leave New Plymouth 9.30 a.m., Stratford 11.30 a.m., arriving Eltham 11.52 a.m. Special train will leave Hawera 11.10 a.m., Eltham 11.55 a.m., arriving Stratford 12.17 p.m., and will return, leaving Stratford 4.40 p.m., Eltham 5.15 p.m., arriving Hawera 6.0 p.m. Special passenger train will leave Eltham 4.45 p.m. for \Y T aitara and New Plymouth. Holders of excursion tickets cannot travel to Eltham by the South Mail train nor return by the North Mail train on 26th and 27th December. BY ORDER.
