The Opouri was expected to arrive from Timaru, Lyttelton, and Wellington at an early hour this morning with general cargo. The Tainui, which left Waitara last week for Wellington, took nearly two days and a-half to do the passage'. Departure was token from Waitara on Monday night, hut had weather delayed progress, and all Wednesday night the vessel was forced to shelter under Long Island, Queen Charlotte Sound.
