A SETTLER'S DEATH.
[Peb Press Association.] Taumarumii. December 13. A well-known settler at Maungauitau, named Lindsay ' Hay, was ound dead yesterday "morning. Deails are meagre, but it is believed 'sat a young horse he was handling nocked him down, dislocation of the eck resulting. Medical assistance was quickly sum•.oned, but was of no avail. Hay >av-es a widow and a little daughter.
