HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT.
[Pan Prkßß Association.] Wellington, December 15. The High Commissioner's cable dated December 13th, states inter .ilin:— Butter.— riie market remains firm, »\ith no change in prices for Australian. New Zealand and Argentine. Danish 13Us to 183 s, Siberian 110 sto 114 s.
Oheese.—The market remains firm, with fair demand. Canadian white LKis to 07s, colored (57s to 68s; New Zealand white 65s to 665, colored 66s to (iis. There is no change in prices for Hnglish, Australian, and Dutch Cheddars.
Wool.- The market for tops is quiet, all grades being id a lb. lower than previous quotations.
DUNEDIN WOOL SALES.
Dunedin, December 15. At the first wool sales to-day there was a drop all round in sympathy with other sales of probably IJ to 2d, but it was not so great on the whole as anticipated. Considering the gloomy reports from everywhere, bidding was surprisingly keen, especially by Continental buyers and the local mills.
