"When the King and Queen visited Covent Garden, suffragettes from the box opposite displayed a banner stating that women were being tortured in" prisons, and made a megaphone speech "protesting against Mrs Pankhurst's arrest.

EXPLOSIVE PACKETS POSTED.
London, December 13
A postal packet, containing phosphorus, and addressed to Mr LloydGeorge, exploded in the East Strand Post Office, damaging a number 01 letters. " A similar packet was found in the Charing Cross Post Office,.inscribed, "A protest, against Miss Svlvia Pankhurst's arrest."
