+ AT THE TUTUTAWA HALL. The police yesterday paid a visit jto Tututawa to investigate an alleged 'attempt to burn down the hall there. | It appears that about 6 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18th, a settler who 'was passing the hall saw smoke issuing from it. He at once raised an 'alarm and other settlers were quickly ,] on the scene. There was a tank close at hand and no difficulty was experienced in suppressing the flames. Yesterday's inspection showed that very little damage was done and that the fire could have not been burning long before it was discovered. The hall had not been used since the Sunday previous.
