GERMANY'S AMBITIONS.
INFLUENCE OF "THE PRINCE OF PEACE." [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] (Received 9.0 a.m.) London, November 23. Canon McTTrlich, English chaplain at Hamburg, addressing a Unionist meeting at freshwater, declared that in his opinion most of the influential Germans of Germany meant to have colonics sooner or later. They knew that the only way to succeed was by securing the supremacy of the seas. But for the Kaiser's personal influence, he said, Germany would have attacked France during the crisis two years ago. It is doubtful whether the Kaiser's counsels would prevail at another such crisis. The time was coming—perhaps not in the present Kaiser's reign—when Germany would fight for the supremacy of the sea, but she would not. make an aggressive move until she was practically certain to come out top dog.
