AN ANARCHIST PLOT.

AGAINST INDIA'S VICEROY.

[By Electric Telegraph—Copyrightl [United Press Association. 1 Calcutta, November 22.

In view of the Viceroy's early visit to the city the police are searching for anarchists. One, named Seashankar. has been arrested and three Bengalis have been seized with partly finished bombs, similar to those used against the Viceroy at Delhi, in Their possession. A POLICE ACHIEVEMENT. London, November 22. The Calcutta correspondent of the Daily Telegraph states that Seashankar rented a room to three Bengalis, apparently visitors, who are alleged to be anarchists. The discovery of the plot is considered to be the most important police achievement for years.

The Director of the Criminal Investigation Department believes that the results of the raid will support the theory that the plot and the bombs were made in Bengal, but that unknown outsiders were engaged to throw the missiles. A search revealed four bomb eases, fuses and implements and materials to finish them.

Much correspondence was seized. The arrests are expected to furnish a clue to the inner circle of the anarchist

conspiracy
