The Cabinet will discuss the question of smallpox at the conference without delay. It is anticipated that if the New South Wales Government accepts the recommendation and gives satisfactory assurances that it will adopt stringent measures dealing with the cases in Sydney and otherwise proventing the spread of the disease, the embargo on Sydney will he lifted.
