The Wrngan'ui Agricultural Society’s annual show commenced to-day in beautiful weather. The show, taken altogether, is an excellent one, though the strike interfered with a number of entries, particularly in regard to those which wore expected from'the South Island and' Auckland. The following championships were awarded :—Hereford heifer, E. Short ; Short horn bull, J. A. Turner; Holstein bull.' W. Lovelock; Polled Angus, bull ami cow, F ( i*ed 'Mbtire; Jersey bull, Mrs F. M.
