Merry Roe got a flying a start and led into the straight. Emperador and Bon R'eve were leading next, when Autnmnns challenged at the distance, and when he retired Warstep raced up to Merry Roe, and in a good' finish won by half a length. Electric Plate, ’of fiOOsovs; four furlongs.—Down ham 1, Brocade 2, Hymettus 3. Also started: Palisade, Ventura, Charmilla, Fabrikoff, Snap Dragoon. Downham, Hymettus, and Brocade were in front on reaching the straight proper, and raced together to tiie distance, where Hymettus faltered ; he came again but failed to stay out, Downham winning by half a head.
