Mr Bonar Law, speaking at’Norwich, says that the greatest possible misfortune had overtaken the Ministry —they had been found out. For years they had posed as the Pharisees of politics. They were still Pharisees, but Pharisees stripped of their phylacteries—naked but not even ashamed. VOLUNTARY INSURANCE. (Received 11.50 a.m.) London, November 16. Mr Churchill declared that Mr Bonar Law’s suggestion of returning to a voluntary system of insurance would throw the whole tremendous and intricate organisation into the melting pot and lead to discrimination of insured workmen by employers.
