failure to attend parade.

Two Territorials appeared at the Court this morning charged with failing to attend the parade of H. Co. pn October 15th. Sergt-Major McGlade represented the Defence Department. Leslie James Coad x>leadod that onon the night in question he was ill. He came down to the chemist’s and then went home to bed. The S.M. : Did you send a written excuse to the officer of the company? Defendant: Xo. .

The S.M.: You should know that you should forward a written excuse. I believe many Territorials arc brought to Court merely through failure to do so.

Sergt-Major Met*lade stated that jf sixteen compulsory parades defendant had only attended eight. Defendant had a card which showed the dates of all compulsory parades, but ■ic would never attend unless he go. i special notice stating that unless io intended Court proceedings would follow.
