Christchurch, Novemb® 0Rain ceased before work comemnced at Riccarton, and it did not affect the tracks. Quarantine and Stevedore ran a mile and a quarter m 2mm tsec but were not extended. Martins, going alone, did the distance in;2mm llsec. May Dalrymple and Gasolene cut out six furlongs in Imin 18 4-o sec. Brown Owl and Veritas ran a mile in Imin-45 4-sscc. Historette beat Cherubini over six furlongs m Imin 18sec. Eraperador, La Rema, Midnight Sun, Merry Roe went a mile and a quarter trial. The latter had a length advantage at -the start and led for* six*furlongs, which was cut out in Imin lessee, and retired. Emperador was' two lengths in front of La Reina. .Midnight Sun, who had the worst of the start, finished in the rear, lime 2min 10’see. V Emperador must have done slightly better than that. Mumia assisted by Joan did a mile and a quarter in 2rnin ISJsec. Flora McDonald, assisted, did a mile in Imin 45 sec; Query, six furlongs in Imin 20 sec; Warstep, six furlongs in Imin 15 l-ssec; Slow Start and Bleriot gave a hollow beating to Bilkful over a mile in- ■lmirU 43sfec -and woiw-easily ; Chrysotis was better than Star Dan-' ■oer over a mile in Ifnin 4-i 2--isoc, 'Tannhauser heat Thra'x over va mile in Imin 43. 4-sscc. The latter failed in the run home. Gleneannekh did seven furlongs in Imin 33 l-ssec.
