Mr J. H. Thompson resumed duty Uds morning after having been laid aside by illness since Saturday last.
Mi E. G. Foster, of Auckland, has been appointed corporation tramwavs manager and electrical engineer by the Invercargill Town Council, out of ten applicants.
Me .A. Low was in town to-day making arrangements for the opening o! the 80-peep Pantomime Company at the Town Hall next Thursday.
Mr M . Ogle, who succeeded Mr S. McKenzie as official tester for the Stratford, Midhirst and Mangorei Herd-testing Association, was manager of the Alton Dairy Co. for four years, and previously was employed at the Xgaire Factory, so that he is not a stranger to the. district. Mr. Ogle will, for the present at. any rate, reside in .now Plymouth, owing principally to the delicate health of Mrs, Ogle. The test returns from the Associations will be published in the “Post,” as usual, at the end of each period.
