LAND BALLOT.
At the Lands Office, at New Plymouth. on Thursday, eight sections in the Mahoe, Xgatimarn, Ohnra, Tangitn and Epper Waitara districts,- aggregating an area of about 1717 acres, were disposed of hy ballot, there being a good number of applicants for most of the sections. The ballot resulted as follows: Section 3, block 9, Xgatimarn S.D., 624 acres, 36 applicants.—o. M. Rutherford. Section 40, block 14, Ohnra S.D., 77.1 acres, 2 b applicants.—F. J. Frick. Section 13, block 14, Ohnra S.D., I 77 acres 3 roods, 24 Mist. m Section 6. block 1, Tangitu S.D., 131 , acres.—John Pratt. Section 12, block 11, Mahoe S.D., 872 acres, two applicants.—T. Ross. Section 11, block 11, Mahoe S.D., 872 acres.—J. W. Sewell, only applicant. Section 7, block 13, Upper Waitara S.D., was drawn hy Louisa Falconer, out of two applicants, but as neither w as represented or had paid a deposit the ballot lapsed. Section 14, block 10, Mahoe, drawn by M. S. Poretous, lapsed for a similar reason.
