The' interest in the world's series of baseball matches is so keen that the Democrats flippantly questioned the Chairman of the House of. Bepresenta'tives'as to the results of the Philadelphia and Xew York contests. The Chairman replied that the question was' unparliamentary, but Representative Mann persisted in declaring that it was better to adjourn in order to learn the progress of the game. After several announcements of the state of the score had been shouted across the floor, the House was unable to secure a quorum, and adjourned.
