Questions about bricks produced :. fight between two members of the Assembly. There was little, sign of trouble until Mr McGirr asked Mr Griffith whether it was not a fact that the Liberals were propounding their questions because the brick combine had been asked to subscribe to the Liberal campaign. Angry denials came from tho Opposition, and Mr Moxham shouted •''You're a liar!"
Mr McGirr's reply was inaudible, and Ml* Moxham repeated the remark and also inclined his head to beckon Mr McGirr outside. * McGirr promptly accepted the challenge, and ball tho House stamped after the pair. Tin library was the scene of the conflict. Moxham hit McGirr on the nose causing it to bleed • then, closing with McGirr, he threw him. When the pair rose, friends separated them. A suggestion was made to continue the fight on the .tennis lawn, but thej \\\>ro dissuaded. The approximate age's arc: Moxham <53, McGirr 27.
Earlier in the day in committee af tor a division, the Deputy-Chairmai ordered the removal of Median, whos. attitude throughout the debate was alternately between jocular and abusive to members opposite.
