There was a large gathering at Randwick to witness the semi-final gallops. The tracks’ were in excellent order. 'Beau Solt, assisted over the last mile by Expedite, did a round on the grass in 2min ISfsec. Radnor, with Danans, railed otver a circuit in 2min 19see. Eeragoon did ten furlongs, in 2min Hi sec. Ulva’s Isle defeated Grand Marshal, Harpist and Breastwork over a similar distance in 2min 14sec. Duke Foote did ten furlongs in 2min 13sec, the last mile in Imin 46sec, and Elosia •cut -out ten furlongs in 2min 13Jsec. Cider covered the Epsom distance in great style in Imin 42sec. Emperador and Cherubini together did a mik in Imin 45-J-soc. Zilliper defeated Mid flight Sun by three lengths in a ten furlongs’ spin. Soltano, at , a good even pace, did a round in 2min 24sec. the last mile in Imin 48|sec. Cayon galloped ten furlongs in 2min llsec. Banksia did a mile in Imin 43Jsec, and Valido five furlongs in Imin 7|sec.
