At the wool sales there was a good offering of greasy crossbreds, and opening rates wore fully maintained. Merinos were firm and unchanged. ‘13,578 bales were catalogued and 42,752 sold. The following- prices were realised for fleece portions ot clips ; “Waihua” top price IOJd, average lOJcl; “Colley Park”, lid, 10|d; “IHiohorough,” 13d, ,12Jd; “Castle Hill,” llld, 10-gd; “G.P.D.,” scoured lod, 15d- “G.P.1),,” 13d, 13d. I had a full yarding of pigs, calves, etc., at my Hayjnarket sale bn Satur day last, before a large attendance o' buyers. With the exception of one pen everything was sold at the harm mer, prices ruling being about par with last sale. On Tuesday, .September I hold my usual four weekly sale cf above produce, tbo catalog io comprising 8 bales and 41 sacks wool, 17GI sheepskins. 13 casks and 41 v.ns tallow, 857 hides and 3323 calfskins, besides the usual assortment *f hair, tails, etc. There was a fair attendance of buyers, competition, particu-larly-for sheepskins, being very l eer throughout the offering. Wool. —Mostly crutchings offering at par to id higher. Sheepskins.—Tn keen demand at an advance of id all round. Hides.—ln sympathy with the drop in other markets. Cow and light ox hides were |d to id lower. Heavy ox and'yearlings were firm at late rates.

Tallow.—Good demand, hpt declined up to 30s per ton.

Calfskins.—Prices somewhat irregular, but generally at par with late rates. Best lines up to 12Jcl per lb.
