INFLUX OF WATER IN MINE. [Pee Press Association.] Thames, September 30. A large flow of water, evidently with considerable pressure behind it, was intersected in the main 1000 foot cross cut this morning. The men had fired a round of shots, when they saw the timbers move and the water come, and decided to make’for safety. It is believed the main Moanatairi slide, which traverses the -■ whole Thames field has been intersected. A big pumping plant should be able to deaf with the water. * ■ CUT ftlS THROAT. Auckland, September 30. Percy Butler, a farm laborer, 27, was admited to the hospital from Hunua with his throat severely cut,, t and died last night. It is alleged that the wounds were self-inflicted. COLLAPSE OF tyOTOR CAR. Auckland, September 30. Lawrence Wilson, tailor, aged 20, injured on Sunday through the collapse of the wheels of the motor' car iin which he was riclijag, died last , night at the hospital.
