INCONSISTENCY.
[To The Editor Stratford Post.] Sir, —In answer to Mr Boon, 1 might say that if the Groat Master himself, who was poor and a carpenter, during his life on earth, had built a' temple fur idolaters, would it have been consistent with His teachings and principles? No, sir, He would have been a Pharisee. If Mr Boon, who is a leading prohibitionist, and a carpenter, builds the Toko Hotel, is it consistent’ with his prohibition principles? Certainly not; he becomes a Pharisee. Christ would, we are told, sooner have the company of the publican and sinner than that of the hypocrite. Mr Boon’s letter, to my mind, savours all through of; “Thank God I am not as other men.” I suppose Mr Boon would salve his conscience over the sometimes-termed “dirty” money ho would receive, by: “if the Heidi paid it, God sent it.”—f am,.etc.,
