A well-known member of the community informed the Eltham Argus yesterday morning that the prospects for the coming season at present appeared particularly bright. The season is an early one, the supply' of milk is good, as also is the price of butter, as instanced by the price which ho understood had been secured by the’ Stratford Dairy Factory, of Is for a straight out sale. This was the highest price ever secured for butter on such a sale. The outlook for cheese appeared good, but of course, nothing definite could be said ip this connection. “Howpvcr,” he remarked, “a good season is required, almost necessary, in fact, with the present high price of land. If it were not for that there would not be half so much grumbling at the dairy factory meetings.
