ASSAULT WITH INTENT

The Supreme Court was, engaged all lay hearing a charge against \\ illiam O’Leary, Frank Duggan, and Angus Lament, of assault with intent on a married woman at Matawai, Gisborne, in August 9. The case was not coiiluded when the Court rose.
AN AFFILIATION CASE
Timaru, September 17. The Supreme Court was occupied yesterday afternoon and a large part ol o-day over an appeal from the magistrate’s order for 7s 6d a week in an affiliation case. The judgment was upheld. Judge Denniston said that if a man as appellant admitted that he walked out with a girl, kissed her, put his arm round her, and there was no suggestion of any other man, he had no reason to complain if he was blamed.
