AMUSEMENTS.
- THE GREAT McEWEX
Something distinctly novel in the shape of amusement will be presented at the Town Hall on Tuesday night next, when the Great McEwen will inaugurate a season of two nights. This ■gentleman comes with the most flattering endorsements ever given to a magician, mind reader, or hypnotist. After two months in Sydney, ten weeks in Melbourne, and three in Adelaide, besides packing the leading theatres of this Dominion to overflowing, there must 1)0 some truth in the report that Mr McEwen is the foremost hypnotist in the world and presents the most unique entertainment on the stage to-day. Not only is McEwen a master hypnotist, but he is a very clover conjuror with a budget of new and surprising tricks, while as a Scotch humorist with an unlimited fund of now stories, he stands unequalled. He will bo assisted by Miss Florence Hartley, a famous American prime, donna, who will be heard in operatic selections, Miss Grace Maynard, montalist, Mr Will Bolton, artistic dancer, will give exhibitions of Scotch and other dances and Mr Cecile Long, soloist. The Box plan is at Grubb’s.,
