Mr S. Kirkcaldie, chairman of the Shareholders’ Committee of the Bank of NCw Zealand, has notified, through the load papers, that he strongly advises shareholders to retain tHeir pre sent holding pending the result of the negotiations now proceeding with the Board of Directors. • A conference between a committee representing the interests of ordinan shareholders and the directors of the Bank; of New South Wales was held yesterday. The Post understands that certain provisions of the Bank of New Zealand Bill now before Parliament, and to which shareholders take exception, were discussed, but finality was nob reached. Negotiations are still proceeding.
