ANNUAL MEETING
There were twenty-six shareholders at the annual meeting of the Lowgarth Dairy Co., held on Thursday. The report and balance-sheet were adopted after a long discussion. Five candidates were nominated for two vacant seats on the directorate, and as a result of a ballot, Messrs. Booker and Sul/,burger were elected. Mr Sulzburger yvas one of the old directorate, but Mr Booker is not a new hand, having previously held the % post of chairman of directors of the company. Mr J. H. Thomas was appointed auditor. An honorarium was granted to the chairman and fees to the directors. Tljo balance to be paid out to supliers on butter-fat is a fifth of a penny. Mr Buckeridge gave an address on ■ behalf of the New Zealand Co-opera-tive Organisation Society. At a meeting of directors Mr Gray was re-appointed chairman. The shareholders fully discussed a number of subjects—turnip-feeding, Egrnont Box Company, disposal of waste water from the factory, proportion of moisture in’ cheese, payment of Income Tax by companies, etc. Tho manager was given fullest power to reject any milk which he has reasonable ground to think will not make good cheese.
