THE ORDER OF THE BATH.
In July last the ceremony of the re inauguration of the Chapel of the Oi
der of the Bath at Westminster Abbey took place, and it is said thai nothing so imposing has been seen ii the Abbey-for a long time. To tin music of the organ the heating o drum and the blare of trumpet call
the procession entered hy a covere way from the 'Princes’ Chamber a the House of Lords. The Abbey beadle with a silver mace, was followed, b
trumpeters, the Abyssinian Cross tlio scarlet-clad Children of the Oh ape Royal, the choir in white, minor can ons in red cassocks, and fho prcben daries and sub-dean in ivory-white mantles. After them came, two and two, some eighty knits in crimsot mantles lined with ivory vbite, cany ing their plumed hats and wearing enormous gold collars, for a size neces sary inbin agb of-wigs. The dean preceded the Duke.of Connaught, Great Master of the Order, and then canu the Tv ing, 'wearing a mantle with r long train held by two pages in scar Jet tunics and whit© stockiiigs.
