0 Newton King’s Weakly Report. On Friday, 29th inst., I had a very heavy yarding in my Waiwakallm j yards, all pens and races being well I tilled and an additional 200 head of young cattle in the sheep pens. There was a fine attendance of the public, with good competition for the better quality yearlings and store cows. The dairy heifers yarded were mostly a backward lot, this affecting prices for other forward heifers. Prices obtained were as follows:—Yearling Jcr sey heifers £-3 17s to £3 18s, yearling grade heifers £1 13s to £3, yearling steers £1 18s 6d to £2 18s, and for a well-grown pen of. Shorthorns I obtained £8 8s: after keen competition. Empty 2-year heifers £3 12s -to £-1 2s and £1 18s Tor a nice line of colored heifers, store cows (strong demand) £3 11s Gd to £4 7s, small stores £2 Ss to £3 4s, forward cows £4 13s to £5 os, 2-year steers £4 6d, hulls £2 os to £4, best springing heifers £6 10s to £7 12s Gd,'others £4 12s 6d to £6, small or backward £3 17s 6d to £! os, dairy cows £3 10s to £6, Shropshire ram hoggets 12s. On Tuesday 2nd mst at my Stratford yards, there was a very good entry of both cattle and sheep, with a fair attendance of the public. There was a strong demand for good store and forward cows. Yearling heifers here, yarded in big numbers, the enquiry being very quiet. Some good lines of yearling steers were entered, these being passed at the hammer, although business was done privaetly. At my Haymarket on Saturday, owing to inclement weather, there was not a huge attendance, and the number of pigs penned was below the average, chiefly wcanors. These, however, wore cleared at the hammei at the following prices :—Six-weekft-ok 7s Gd to 1 Gs Gd ; 8-weeks-old, up to £1 5s Gd ; calves, from 2s Gd to IGs.

RENNET AND CO’S REPORT. iVfatthewa, Bennett and Co. report that thoro was a good yarding in their Inglewood yards on Wednesday last, (load springers were in better demand than at late sales. Mixed yearlings made from ft 10s to ft 18s, yearling heifers £2 Ms to £3, yearling steers £2 os to £2 1 os, store cows £2 5s to £3 os, good do. £3 15s, £ I Ss 6d to £5 7s (id, old backward springing cows £3 15s to £4 12s Gd, good £5 5s to £7 15s.
