A 1) JOININ'FA) MEETING. The adjourned annual mooting o the Stratford Howling Club was hoi. on night in the Comic: Chambers, the president (Mr T. t Fookes) being in the chair. V REVISED RULES. The rules of the duh, which had bed revised by Mr Fookes, were brough up for consideration. R y, as decided that the green war den he a member of - the committee ex officio. in the rule providing for fines fo; misconduct the maximum fine was fixed at £l. The rates of subscription wore fix ed as follows Ordinary member; £2 2s, country members £1 Ift, honor arv members and non-resident eonr mercial travellers 10s 6d. Provision' was also made that new members joining after January 31st may pa\ only half these fee?. In cases of blackballing by the committee the person blackballed may appeal to a general comftiittee of members. The rules of the Club are to be signed by.all members at the time of joining. After a long general discussion the rules as revised were adopted. PRESS STEWARD. Mr C. L. Grant was appointed press steward. new members. The following new members were elected:—Dr. Cameron and Messrs A. W. Budge, A. C. Bell, E. Jackson, G. Hall, C L. Grant, S. Sharp, A. Moon, and Harris. VOTES OF THANKS. Votej> of thanks were passed as follows:—To Mr T. H. Penn, for the nso of his office; to ylr Fookes for drawing np the rules; to Mr A. Black, the late secretary, for his services to the club; and to the press. This evening the committee meet for farther general business, among which the resignation of the caretaker is one of the chief items.
