Marton, September 2

The Marton spring meeting is being held in fine weather, though a heavy westerly gale is blowing. The going is good, and there is a large attendance. Results;—

Hack Hurdles.—Witched 1, Rill 2 Daisy Paul 3. Scratched: Hikiwai, Tirohanga, Criepineer. Won easily In two lengths, same distance between second and third. Time, 2min 59sec. Maiden Plate.—Bonnie Helen 1, Rewi .Poto 2, Sty rax 3. Scratched: Crispineer and Sir Fisher. Won easily all the way, a length between second and third. Time, Imin 37sec.
