Twenty persons were killed, and one hundred injured by a rear collision between the White Mountain express and the Barbarian- express in Connecticut. The trains were both laden with returning excursionists. The rear cars wore telescoped into splinters. Thirteen bodies were recovered. A thick fog is believed to be the cause of the accident.
