AUSTRALIA’S WARSHIPS.
[By Electric Telegraph— Copyright] j Uniter Press .Association.] (Received 8.5 a.m.) Durban, September 1. The Australian warships were warmly welcomed. Two hundred of the crew of the Australia marched in the streets headed by a band. The Mayor entertained the officers nt luncheon, where complimentary speeches were made. The press made complimntary references to the visit. The Natal Advertiser says: “The visit brings home to everyone that Australia is in deadly earnest over naval defence, whilst South Africa i« still trifling with the question, though every consideration urges her to follow the example of Australia.”
