A fire was discovered in the tipper storey of the freezing chambers at Tokomaru Bay at midnight. The damage is estimated at £IO,OOO. 4 lie total insurance on this portion of the works, including machinery, was £14,070 in the New Zealand office.
Wanganui, August 27
The body of Frank Neylon, who disappeared three weeks ago, was found in the river to-day. Dunedin, August 26.
There was Considerable delay in the train services to-day, but it is hoped to have all lines running as usual tomorrow.

The Otago Daily Times Was fined forty shillings and costs at the Police Court this morning for a breach of the Gaming Act in publishing Lipton’s tea advertisement, offering cash prizes to buyers of the tea. Auckland, August 27
At the inquest on the body of a child of Elizabeth Milliken evidence showed that the infant had never breathed. The inquest was adjourned for a week.
Dunedin, August 27
Netty Wright, aged 22, dressmaker, left for her home at Balclutna \esto relay afternoon and is believed to have drowned herself in the river. She had been somewhat run down of late, but there was no reason why she should do away with bersdf.
