LIND’S FRUITLESS MISSION

[United Press Association.] Mexico, August 25. Mr Lind has departed. His mission was. fruitless.

It is . understood that President Wilson’s message to Congress intends to recommend non-interference in Mexican affairs coupled with nonrecognition of President Huerta in any way. The United States is anxious to show the world that it is desirous of forestalling any pressure that foreign Governments are likely to exercise, with the object of inducing America to intervene.

CALLING FOR GENERAL DIAZ

Mexico, August 26.

It is reported that the administration with general consent, has summoned General Diaz to return and

restore order. This is considered to be the only practical solution of the

prevailing anarchy
