Riders to be members of the North Taranaki Hunt 2 OPEN HACK HANDICAP.—To start at 1.45 p.m. For trophy value £5 and a sweepstake of 5s each for starters to go to first horse (sweepstake payable at scale). To start at 2.15 p.m. A handicap steeplechase for all horses that have never won a steeplechase at the time of starting. All horses to be nominated by ladies and ridden by gentlemen riders. Minimum weight list. Entrv 5s About two miles. 4 NOVICE STEEPLECHASE HANDICAP.—To start at 2.45 p.m. For trophy value £5. A handicap steeplechase for Third-class Hunters to bo classified by Masters and De-puty-Masters, and to be the bona lido property of members of the North Taranaki Hunt. No nomination accepted without being accompanied by classification certificate. Horses to be ridden by gentlemen riders. Minimum weight, list. Entrance ss. About two miles. 5 HUNT STEEPLECHASE HANDICAP.—To start at 3.30 p.m. For Cup value £5. Minimum weight, list. For hunters only. Winner of Ladies’ Bracelet to carry 101 b penalty. Entry ss. Gentlemen riders only in Races 1. !. 4,5, and 7. Emergency Riders’ Licenses may bo issued on day of Races (foe ss) for these events. DEFINITION OF A HACK. A back is a horse which lias npt at any time prior to time of entry of nomination won a race of the value of 100 sovs to the winner, or races of the iggrogate value of 250 soys to the winner.
