A “CALL” TO SIR JOSEPH WARD. [Per Press Association.] Wellington, August 21. A meeting of members of the Liberal Party was held last evening. The whole of the members of the party word present or accounted for. Mr J. Colvin presided over the proceedings. which wore most enthusiastic. The following motion was unanimously adopted:—“We. members of. the Liberal Party, .request to invite Sit Joseph Ward to accept the leadership of tho Liberal Party, and pledge ourselves, if bo accepts the position, to lovallv follow and assist him.”
