The latter is not smallpox. The metro, politan cases include a letter-carrier, one of a few unvaccinated. Referring to the Empire Parliamentarians. a health official remarked chat there was no obligation for them to be vaccinated before arriving in Australia or leaving Australia. Probably it would concern them most if they still declined vaccination. A member of the Million Club dedares that the epidemic is causing a loss of £120,000 daily in Sydney. GOVERNMENT PERPLEXED. Melbourne, August 21. Some of the Empire Parliamentarians wirelessed that they would not submit to vaccination. The Govern went is perplexed, and probably this will result in only a small number visit ing Sydney.

Three of yesterday’s smallpox cases wore previously unsuccessfully vaccinated, and declined to have the operation repeated. THE DIFFICULTY OVERCOME. (Received 8.5 a.m.) Melbourne. August 22. Messrs Black, Crooks and Jones, members of the Empire Parliamentary party, decline vaccination on conscientious grounds, being members of the British Anti-Vaccination Party. Two other members are adverse, but their objections is less strong. The only arrangement for the objectors is to b' landed at Suva and thence brought to Australia. Otherwise they would have to enter; New- wbi«A would involve being, quarantined on reaching Australia.
