EGMONT BOX COMPANY.

A SUCCESSFUL YEAR. ■ The annual meeting of the Egmont Box Company was held here yesterday. Mr Jacob Marx presided, and there was a large attendance of representatives of shareholding dairy companies from all parts of Taranaki.

The Chairman reported a most successful year's work, with a credit balance oi' £3433. He also reported that they had secured bush rights over 28,000 acres at Taurcwa, acquiring enough timber for butter boxes and cheese crates to .last the North Island from 20 to 25 years at an output of 1,000,000 cases per annum. It had been decided to allow dairy companies in an/ part of the North Island to take up shares, and it was mentioned that applications for shares had been

received from various companies in the South Island. A resolution to increase the nominal capita] of the Company by £70,000 was carried unanimously.
