SOCIAL REFORM.
LIBERAL GOVERNMENT. WILL ATTACK LAND MONOPOLY. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] (Received 9.35 a.m.) London, August 10. Mr Lloyd-George, addressing ten thousand miners, stated that social reform, in order to he thorough, must move with an extended front. the Government had attacked poverty of the aged, sweating, and intemperance, and was now about to march on the central position, where land monopoly was entrenched. The struggle would be fierce, but with the help of the people the Government would triumph.
