The headmaster at Dulwich College ,ias expressed alarm at the increasing interest in tennis in public schools. It is considered that this endangers the prominence of cricket. Lord Cheylesmere concurred. He s lid that tennis was an excellent game, but it was impossible to compare it with cricket and football.
