THE GREY ELECTION.
A SYDNEY COMMENT. [By Electric Teleguarh— Copyright. [United Press association.) (Received 10.10 a.m.) Sydney, July 31. Commenting on the exceptionally interesting bye-election at Crev, the Daily Telegraph says:—New Zealand Liberals are evidently agreeable to a coalition with Socialism to overthrow the Government. This augurs a revolutionary change in the party the late Mr Seddon let! so long. Certainly Mr Seddon commanded the Labor support, hut it was always independent of it and above it, and Socialism was impotent as a political force in his regime. Assuming that Sir Joseph Ward is still influential in Opposition councils, it will he interesting to observe how ho views the new scheme yoking up with Socialism and syndicalism on the ground that they and the Liberals arc all moving towards ono goal.
