A meeting of cheese factory representatives of Taranaki was held a. Hawera to-day to consider the matter of taking concerted action in tin matter' of marketing cheese during he coming season. Eighteen tacories wene represented. Tiie following resolution was caried unanimtfiisly: "That this meetng of Taranaki cheese factory com>anies recommend the cheese factory ompanies of the Dominion to unite 'or the purpose of marketing our lairy produce in the Home market. the Dominion, that Taranaki ake the initiative; that some four if five good Home firms be selected :o whom X'ew Zealand consignments ho sent and that the consignors be represented by five representatives to ct in conjunction with one mcmbei rom each of the four firms selected, ;he whole to form a committee to leal with the marketing of our proluce to the best advantage." The meeting elected a committee of seven to draw up definite proposals on the lines of tho resolution to he for ,-arded to the various cheese factories >i the Domniirui. Jt also decided to invito butter factories to join in the scheme.
