N.S.W. AFFAIRS. •.By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association, ; (Received 9.35 a.m.) Sydney, July 21. Iu the Assembly Mr Cann (Treasurer) stated that he proposed asking for a special bill authorising the raising of three millions in London for railway duplication and other works. Mr Wade strongly attacked the Government, principally upon their financial administration, to which he attributed the present high cost of living. Regarding vaccination, he condemned the proposal to vaccinate infants only who could not hit back. In view of the hold small-pox had gained in the city and suburbs, the obvious course was to make vaccination universal and protect the willing against the unwilling. The Government proposal was an exhibition of want of courage in dealing with an urgent matter. He concluded his speech by moving a direct want-of-confidonce motion.
The debate in the House was adjourned.
