An emergency meeting of tho Taranaki Rugby Union was held last night. Permission was given to the Tukapa and Clifton teams to play a benefit mtytch next Thursday for an injured Clifton player. The application of the Waimate club for the appointment of an atrhpfdo referee for the play-off between tho divisions was not granted.

The Auckland Union intimated that they would send a B. team to play Taranaki on August 21st if the local' Union paid expenses. The offer was accepted.

The final fixtures were arranged as folic,vs:—Star v. Inglewood at Inglewood on July 2Gth. Winners of this match v. Tukapa on July Hist—at Waitara if Inglewood wins, at New Plymouth if Star wins. A.v. B reps at Stratford, July 31st. Winners of northern division v. Waimate at Eltham on August 6th. Waimate and Haw era [day off tie for southern hrsfi junior championship at Okaiawa on July 26th. Winners of this match will play Stratford for tho provincial championship at Eltham on July 31st.

The members of the Stratford First Junior team are earnestly requested to roll up to-morrow afternoon at 3 o’clock, at the show grunds. In view of the fact that the play-off with the winners of the Southern division will take place at Eltham on Thursday, 31st, all possible practices must be held. A combination of Seniors and Third Juniors will play the Junior*.
