HIS MAJESTY’S PICTURES
HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE
To-night will see the last of an up-to-date set of films, making way for a gigantic change on Thursday, when the star drama, “Tigers,” will be in evidence. This film is over 3000 feet in length, and is stated to be an amusing succession of breathless thrills. Tho story deals with a live detective and a gang of thieves. The film instinctively recalls Robert Louis Stevenson’s famous novel of dual personality, Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Another star film is “Opitsah,” a tale of constancy, being a simple story of Indian devotion by the famous Selig Studio. The latest topical budget and scenes in Lower Normandy and a bunch of roaring comics will tend to make a brilliant programme. The management have secured at a big expense 1 the greatest educational picture of the ago, “The Panama Canal,” which will be shown for the first time outside the largo cities on August Ist and 2nd (Friday and Saturday), and also at the matinee on Saturday afternoon on August 2nd.
