Teresa Tichborne was sentenced to six months' imprisonment in tiie second division. (Reecived 12.30 p.m.) Counsel for the prosecution stated that Teresa (not Louise) had for years annoyed the Tichbornes with begging letters, some verging on blackmail. Twenty-five pounds was charitably given by the late Sir Henry Sua, and accepted, as an acknowledgement of the family connection. She asked Sir Joseph to give her £10,1)00 not to worry him further. Others accused Lady Doubty Tichborne of concealing or destroying Sir Henry's will. A cablegram on June 24 read: —

Teresa Mary Doughty Tichborne, aged 47, has been remanded on a charge of writing a threat to kill Miss Denise. The latter is marrying Sir Joseph Tichborne at Brompton Oratory to-morrow. Counsel stated that if necessary he would be able to showit was intended to carry out the threat. Defendant represented herself as Arthur Orton's daughter. Defendant: "T said Roger Tichborne's daughter. I only wished to bring my case before the public."
